I'm a firm believer that your wedding should be exactly the way you want it to be! Whether you want a Pagan wedding, festival wedding, or a gothic wedding at some point, you're going to be thinking about entertaining all of your lovely guests. If you're anything like me and my husband we couldn't nail a single theme down for a wedding, but we knew the vibe was gothic Victorian, with a smattering of Alice in Wonderland visuals by John Tenniel (1820-1914). We got married at dusk on Valentines day, at the Gothic Ettington Park Hotel near Stratford Upon Avon and then partied into the night. Â The overarching themes of red roses, gothic Victorian and Alice blended into each other and were tied in with cards and magic.
Â
Did we have a magician? Of course, we did! But not any old magician we had one of my best friends and mentor, the amazing Fay Presto! Fay performed magic around the tables during the dinner, creating peals of laughter, gasps of amazement, and thoroughly entertaining everyone with her humour and magic. The magic lifted the atmosphere in the room from being just a wedding breakfast into a fantastic party!  Everyone still raves about our wedding and how fun it was and that was primarily due to Fay performing magic!  Funnily enough, not one  of my guests ever mentions the flowers, or the gothic vibe. But they remember how they felt – entertained.

Luckily for me, I learned from Fay exactly how to bring the A game skills to your wedding.

That is what great wedding magic does, it turns me into a professional party starter! Whether you opt for magic during the reception drinks or the wedding breakfast (or both) I can guarantee that the magic I perform takes a fairly humdrum atmosphere making small talk with people that your guests have never met or only see at weddings, christenings and funerals to one that is a banging party! Is it worth it? Hell yes! Your wedding is the only time your friends and family are going to be in one place to celebrate you, lets pull out all the stops!
As Maya Angelou said:

And the great thing about the magic I perform is that it makes people feel amazed, enchanted, intrigued, gobsmacked, mystified, entertained, treated, honoured and looked after  which is probably how you want your guests to feel on your wedding day. Will they remember it? Hell yes. Your wedding will be remembered forever, not for the flowers or what they ate,(although all of things are really nice) but how they felt on your one heck of an amazing day.
