How Tarot Reading Can Attract More Visitors to Your Trade Show Stand
At a busy trade show, attracting attention is only the first challenge.
The real goal is to encourage people to stop, spend time at your stand and begin a meaningful conversation with your team.
Corporate tarot reading offers something genuinely different. It creates curiosity, brings energy to an exhibition space and gives delegates a memorable reason to engage with your brand.
I have provided tarot reading for corporate clients at high profile events including Boomi, and RecFest helping brands create welcoming, high-energy spaces that attract visitors and encourage natural conversation.
I specialise in turning passing traffic into genuine engagement.
Trade show visitors are constantly being approached by exhibitors.
They are offered leaflets, demonstrations, branded merchandise and sales pitches from the moment they enter the venue. After a while, even the most impressive stand can become part of the background.
Tarot changes the dynamic.
People notice the cards, become curious and begin asking questions. Guests sit down for a reading, while others gather to watch, chat and wait for their turn.
This creates movement and visible activity around the stand, which naturally attracts even more attention.
Rather than asking your team to make a cold approach, tarot gives people a comfortable and enjoyable reason to come to you.
Time for valuable conversations
One of the greatest challenges at a trade show is keeping a potential client at your stand long enough to build a genuine connection.
A short tarot reading creates that valuable pause.
While visitors wait, watch or discuss their reading afterwards, your team has the opportunity to introduce the company, learn more about the delegate and explore whether there may be a useful business connection.
The entertainment does not replace your sales message. It creates the conditions in which that message can be heard.
When planned well, tarot can help your stand achieve several important objectives:
Increase footfall and dwell time
Encourage visitors to join a mailing list or enter a competition
Support lead generation
Create a natural opening for sales conversations
Make your stand more memorable
Give delegates a positive reason to talk about your brand
A professional experience designed around your brand
My style is warm, engaging and accessible, with readings adapted to suit the atmosphere of the event. I provide seated readings from a styled table and readings can be light-hearted and entertaining while still feeling personal and meaningful.
Every company and audience is different. A technology exhibition may require a different tone from a recruitment fair, leadership event or creative-industry showcase.
Before the event, I work with the organiser to understand the company, the audience and the objectives for the stand. This allows me to adapt the experience so that it feels like a natural extension of the brand rather than entertainment that has simply been added as an afterthought.
Case Study
Yenlo is a global technology specialist that helps organisations connect their systems, applications and data. Its expertise includes API management, integration technology, identity and access management, and cloud-based integration platforms. The Boomi World Tour is a major international technology event bringing together Boomi customers, partners, business leaders and industry experts. My brief was to link AI archetypes that Yenlo had created to Tarot cards and to provide Tarot readings for Yenlo's potential customers based upon their unique tarot archetypes. After a tarot reading, each visitor to the stand also received a second reading linking their chosen card to their own unique AI archetype and took that card away with them as a promotional keep sake. The event was a roaring success with Yenlo's stand being the talk of the exhibition.
Dini Klassen, Managing Director of Yenlo, described the impact:
“From the very first moment, Careena brought incredible energy, professionalism and warmth to the day. She has a unique ability to engage an audience, create genuine connections and make people feel comfortable, whether they are actively participating or simply observing.”

That ability to read the room is essential at trade shows. Visitor numbers rise and fall, schedules change and the energy of the event can shift throughout the day. I can move between individual readings, group interaction and wider audience engagement depending on what will best support the stand at that moment.
The response from employees and guests was overwhelmingly positive, with many describing the tarot experience as one of the highlights of the day.
Dini even joked that hiring me had been one of the best investments they had made—and afterwards confirmed that she still stood by that statement.
For an exhibitor, that is the real measure of success. The experience should not simply be entertaining. It should bring people to the stand, create goodwill around the company and help the brand remain in visitors’ minds long after the exhibition has finished.

Attracting talent at RecFest
I have also worked at RecFest for Sova Assessment, where tarot was used to create interest, conversation and energy within a busy recruitment and talent-focused environment.
Large exhibitions such as RecFest can be highly competitive. Delegates have limited time and a huge number of stands to visit.
An interactive experience gives people a reason to stop.
Tarot works particularly well within recruitment, HR and employee-engagement events because it naturally opens conversations around strengths, choices, communication and future possibilities.
Helping your brand become the stand people remember
I understand that trade shows are significant investments.
Alongside the stand itself, businesses may be paying for travel, accommodation, printed materials, exhibition fees and staff time. It therefore makes sense to consider not only how the stand will look, but how it will feel to visit.
People remember experiences more readily than brochures.

They remember the stand where they laughed, felt welcomed, tried something unusual or had a conversation that felt genuinely personal.
Tarot gives your company the opportunity to become that stand.

It can also generate organic social media content, as visitors often photograph the cards, share their experience or encourage colleagues to take part. With the appropriate permissions, the experience can become part of your wider event marketing rather than remaining limited to the exhibition floor.
Is tarot suitable for every corporate audience?
Tarot can be adapted for a wide range of professional environments.
My corporate clients include technology companies, luxury brands, event agencies and organisations working within recruitment, hospitality and professional services.
The key is presentation.
My work is polished, inclusive and appropriate for a corporate audience. Readings are never designed to frighten or embarrass a guest, and I do not make alarming predictions.
Instead, the experience focuses on personality, possibilities, choices and conversation.
This makes it accessible to people who already enjoy tarot as well as those who have never experienced a reading before.
Planning tarot for your next trade show
For the strongest results, tarot should be incorporated into the overall strategy for the stand.
Consider what you would like visitors to do before or after their reading. This might include:
Speaking to a member of the sales team
Booking a product demonstration
Scanning a QR code
Entering a prize draw
Joining your mailing list
Sharing a photograph on social media
A simple system can help manage demand during busy periods. Depending on the size of the event, this may involve scheduled time slots or short readings designed to keep the queue moving.
I can work with your events or marketing team to recommend the most effective format for your audience, visitor numbers and stand layout.
Make your exhibition stand impossible to walk past
The most effective trade show entertainment does more than fill time.
It attracts attention, starts conversations and gives people a reason to remain at your stand.
Corporate tarot reading creates intrigue without feeling like a hard sell. It offers visitors something personal, interactive and memorable while giving your team more opportunities to form valuable new business relationships.
As Dini Klassen concluded:
“If you’re looking for someone who combines professionalism with authenticity, creativity and the ability to make an event truly memorable, I can wholeheartedly recommend Careena.”
If you are planning a trade show, exhibition, conference or corporate activation and would like to create more footfall around your stand, I would be delighted to discuss how tarot reading could support your event objectives.
